Yes, I finished something. Actually, I finished two somethings but with the weather we are having, taking pictures of something dark grey is nigh on impossible so you are going to have to wait for finished pics of my Ice sweater. Suffice to say that it's gorgeous and fits me pretty much perfectly which I am most pleased about.
So, in the mean time, here are my socks.
Aren't they lovely? The yarn is Ripples Hand Dyed in a colour called Plum Crush. It's a really nice yarn to knit with, sturdy enough that I don't think I'll have holes in my socks too soon but soft enough that I really want to wear them (and do!).
The pattern is the Baby Cable Rib pattern (Ravelry link) from Sensational Knitted Socks by Charlene Schurch. Very easy but very pretty and I think it works really well with a variegated yarn like this one as you can still see the detail of the pattern despite the changing colours fo the yarn.
They're incredibly lovely, of course... but now you have me on pins and needles about the sweater!!
