I hope you were sitting down when you read that. I know that Jacqueline nearly keeled over when I told her that I wasn't intending on going. It is indeed a first - since I first heard that it existed I have always taken Thursday off work (the first day of the show) and been there queuing at the door to be one of the first in.
But not this year. In the first few years you would see yarns at Ally Pally that you would never see elsewhere in the UK but these days the various LYS that are around London have most of these yarns in stock so the novelty has worn off. And I am incapable of spending a day at a yarn show and spending anywhere near a 'reasonable' amount of money. And if I limited the money that I took, I know that I would just spend my time wishing I could buy more than I can - so it's easier to stay away from the temptation to buy yarn that I don't really want nor need. And before you think that I am denying myself in anyway, please note that I have a perfectly formed stash and have subscribed to a few sock clubs. So trust me, there's not yarn denial going in this neck of the woods.
This arrived in the post on Friday.

And this arrived in the post last week.

See? No denial whatsoever.
