My good friend Emma had a little girl a few weeks ago and I had a little bit of knitted love for the newborn hidden up my sleeve. And yes, it's another Kim Hargreaves kit, I just can't help myself!
It's called Gingerbread and it features in Kim's Little Angels collection. The yarn is Rowan's Wool Cotton in a colour called Rich - a name that really suits the colour as it has a lot of depth to it. It's a happy colour and seemed perfect for a baby to be born in the autumn.
In some ways it's not a particularly special cardigan, very simple and all that - but then that's what makes Kim's knits special, the little details. I love the raglan sleeves and I really like the way the collar folds over, it's so so dainty and pretty.
It's a really sweet pattern and I can see myself making another one of these one day.
