Time to catch up

There's been a lot going on behind the scenes here despite the ongoing silence. I keep promising myself that I am going to get back to blogging regularly but for some reason I just can't seem to discipline myself. However, just in case you were wondering, it is absolutely not a reflection of the amount of knitting that I have been doing, more, I suspect, that I am spending all of my time at work in front of a computer and I am rather loathe to do so at home too.

There's also the fact that nothing looks more like an existing 10 repeats of a lace stole than another 10 repeats. It really does not make for very interesting blogging after the first post and there's still a lot to be done.

I have now done 21 of the required 30 repeats for the Large rectangle in leaf and trellis from Victorian Lace Today and haven't lost the will to live yet so I think I am doing really well.

There are two rows where you decrease 3 stitches into 1 and I see those as my 'goal' rows, trying to make sure that I always get to that one before I put my knitting down. I live in the belief that it makes me knit a few more rows than I intended too.

I have to say that I have seen pictures of a friend's beautiful finished Large rectangle in leaf and trellis has given me the motivation I needed to ensure that I don't put this down and get distracted by something else.

I have some other bits and pieces to share but shall try to keep them for later this week as I would like to blog twice this week. Yes, twice.

The stole is so lovely & it's good that you are not bored with it. I knitted one & after I finished, promised myself that I will not do it again - it was never ending knitting.

The lace stole looks beautiful, , You're doing really well, as it looks really intricate and requires lots of concentration. but it really does look stunning and striking in that beautiful colour.

Nice to 'see' you back! I'm loving that stole, even if it does look like 'more of the same'.

I'm the same at the moment - blogging in fits and starts. Don't beat yourself up about it! Your red shawl is simply beautiful. So elegant, you'll have it done in no time. Happy Sunday!

I love it! It's a big piece of lace knitting, you're doing well to knit so much (I'd have succumbed to Other Projects!). Beautiful colour too.
