Even old projects get finished

You'd think that I'd made a decision to keep away from the blog but I am really not sure what's happened here. Time seems to be in some weird warp that it wasn't in, say, a year ago. Weeks fly by and I haven't taken any pics of my knitting, blocked anything or have any time to blog.

I have been doing some knitting. Not only that, but I have been doing a teeny bit of finishing too.

Debbie Bliss Ribbon Edged Coat

Here's the Debbie Bliss ribbon edged cardigan.

A few of you left comments saying that it would look a lot better if it had the ribbon after I had said that I was going to make it ribbonless. So, influenced by your good selves I traipsed off to VV Rouleau near Sloane Square with the Alpaca Woman. Where we found some fine ribbon.

The cardigan is now waiting for my gorgeous goddaughter to grow into it so that I can play the Paparazzi and take a gazillion pictures of her.

I've also finished knitting (over 2 years later), Alfie from Jaeger book JB22.

Alfie

It took me a long long while.

But here she is blocking. I need to block the sleeves today and start working the neck and I'll be done. Which will be a relief as she's been sitting around for a long while. I am somewhat worried that she'll be a bit short but ho humm. I am certainly not entertaining the thought of starting her again.

Gorgeous, gorgeous - the ribbon decision is So the right one. It makes "nice" just beautiful :0)

Love the sweater too. If only I was slim enough for horizontal stripes ..... sigh ....;0)

I should take this as a reminder to post and finish up those waiting bits shouldn't I :)

I love the colours you've used for that cardigan. Such sophisticated baby knits. By the way, I was amazed to get a rosette from the Innocent Hats people.

The baby cardigan looks gorgeous with the ribbon on. Love the colors of Alfie & short is in so that's should be alright. Good luck!

The little baby cardi is just divine with the ribbon. Nicely done, I hadn't seen that pattern before.

Just keep saying it: Short is in. :) I'm sure Alfie will look great!
