I feel the need to purge my 'Pictures for blog' folder on my computer. I seem to have a whole backlog of pictures there that I have been meaning to share with you all for a while but I really have not done all that well on that front. Partially because the technology has been letting me down recently and I've not been able to get online at home. But luckily the husband has rescued the day and I am back on the interwonderweb. Yay!
This post is going to be my best attempt at bringing this blog a little more up to date before I start blogging about what I am knitting at the moment. First I shall get the pictures of the rest of the Innocent hats out of the way. Not that I don't appreciate the hats, I appreciate them EVER SO MUCH. But I am rather 'hatted out' to tell the truth.
Here are the hats that Christina sent me. She deserves a medal seeing how she has 2 little ones and a new born that has arrived since she sent me the hats. Congratulations Christina!

These are Eilidh's lovely creations,

Hilda whipped up some MORE hats (Hilda made a lot of hats!),

Kate made some,

As did Jane, all in pinks (these are particularly pretty),

Rebecca used up her odds and ends,

And so did Diane.

This is the rest of Sally's hats (Sally was very prolific in her hat knitting too).

These are mine

As are these,

And finally, I promise, these.

I am NOT knitting another hat for a long long time. Well unless I use the rest of the yarn that Polly gave me to knit a last hat for Biss but that's another story.
But all in all, I did rather well, I think. 447 hats in total. I was rather intrigued to see what that many hats would look like in a pile.

See? It's rather a lot (the picture somehow flattens them, trust me, this was quite the pile).
Now, I didn't forget about my promise that there would be prizes and there were. I didn't want to announce the winners until they had received their prizes as I know how much I like to receive surprise parcels. So here are the names and prizes of those that I know have received their prizes.
Darleen was the lucky winner of a copy of Rowan 42 which Rowan kindly donated. Thank you Rowan.
Eilidh won the Smoothie receipe book that Innocent Drinks very kindly gave as a prize. Thanks Innocent!
Sally won the following:

It's a circular needle holder from Offhand Designs I have one and I love it. Sally's now hunting down all of her circular needles in order to store them in her new toy.
XX was the winner of this Yarn Yard Sock yarn.

I've plain forgotten the colour of the yarn but I love it. (I don't think it's arrived yet so I shall keep quiet as to the recipient for the time being).
Hilda in Wales won some Lorna's Laces sock yarn in the colourway "Georgetown". I got to give her the yarn and thank her in person when I saw her in Wales a few weeks ago.

And the final prize is for XX and here it is:

It's Art Yarns and I think it's the Supermerino although I am suddenly having a doubt. Unfortunately its recipient has not written to me to say that it has arrived so I am keeping the wraps on where it has gone.
I think that this post is quite long enough so the good news is that I am nearly there. My last thing to say is that if you pop over to Jacqueline's blog you will see a picture of her wearing the Anna socks that I knitted for her. I think I am rather proud of those.
Posted by Amelia at November 17, 2007 07:42 AMWow, what a great pile of little hats and yarn!!! And you *should* be proud of those Anna stockings--they look just stunning.
Posted by: Amy at November 19, 2007 07:06 PMThe hats are great and well done to all the winners too! I look forward to seeing your latest knits. I don't have much spare time for blogging at the mo but I am still reading blogs!
