Jenny buttoned, seamed, sewn and finished. Yeah!

I did finish Jenny on Friday night although it has to be said that it involved staying up rather later than I had thought as I moved the buttons around constantly and was never quite happy with the result.

Jenny buttons

These are the buttons that I bought from Libertys last week. I was really happy as I was expecting to have real trouble finding buttons of the right colour and right size and yet there they were, the first buttons I saw and they go perfectly.

Jenny

I am afraid that all of the shots that the husband took the other day are headless. A combination of bad lighting and a bad hair day meant that I looked dreadful on all of them. Even the husband thought so, so it must be bad.

Jenny buttons

Jenny and I are having a bit of a love story at the moment, I am like a 4 year old girl who doesn't want to take her ballerina clothes off and wants to wear them to the supermarket. I wore Jenny to the First Birthday of the Yarn House on Saturday (more about that later this week) and also to work on Monday. So now I am trying to do without her until tomorrow when I shall be taking her to Libertys.

If I can get any of the Liberty girls to take a decent picture of me wearing Jenny, then I put it up here. There's also a picture of the charm label that I need to take (it was part of my birthday present from Jacinta and it's really sweet).

As a quick update on other projects: Fruity is off the needles and in need of some blocking and finishing (a weekend job), the husband's sweater is finished but there are still about a trillion ends to sew in (I want to get it finished for his trip to NY this week but somehow I think that might not happen) and I have cast on two new projects (one big, one small) about which I shall tell you more soon.

What a beautiful sweater! I am so jealous. I attempted my first sweater for Elena this Summer and it is a disaster. I have a very hard time following patterns in books. When are you coming to SF to tutor me? I've now resorted to knitting ponchos instead!

What a finishing phase you're having! Jenny looks lovely, much better than in the Rowan magazine, and really suits you; maybe you could make another one in a different colour?

Amelia,
Jenny looks wonderful. I really love the colors. What is the name of the blue that you used?

I don't blame you for not wanting to take it off, it looks so good. I love the scoop neck, a really nice addition to your wardrobe as it looks like it would go with practically anything.
